A licence grants an edition, an expiry, a seat limit, a repository limit and a feature set. It is signed by us, verified locally by your deployment, and enforced server-side.

Renew
Same action, new key, no disruption.
Renewal replaces the entitlement in place. No migration, no downtime, no data affected — and if you let it lapse, the deployment goes read-only rather than deleting anything.

how the bill works
Two bills, and one of them is not ours
You pay us for the licence. You pay your AI provider for the tokens, directly, on your own account — we never sit in the middle of that, so there is no margin for you to have to trust.
Because the deployment is yours, the provider credentials are yours too. Switching model provider, negotiating your own rate, or pointing it at a gateway you already run are all your decisions to make.

A licence is not a checkbox in a settings page. It is a signed statement your deployment verifies for itself.
Edition
Which plan the deployment is entitled to run as.
Expiry
The date it runs to, with a 7-day grace period after it.
Seats
A maximum number of users, enforced at signup.
Repositories
A maximum number of connected repositories.
Because the entitlements are cryptographically signed, editing the key text to extend an expiry or add seats breaks the signature and the key is refused. That protects you as much as us: it is why a licence can be verified with no server to call. The full licensing model.
